I'm Stéphane Richard known throughout the web as MystikShadows.

Before you go wondering, Symbiotic Software Development is not a company. It is a symbol if you will, a name that represents my development efforts as well as anything I feel like writing so this website is all about me and what I am doing at the moment.

 About The Website:

As you can see, there are alot of sections to my website. Basically you are currently viewing the main page, the first page you see when you go to symbioticsoftware.net. The menu on the left offers the basic categories of contents that I will be updating. This current page explains why the name and why the website. For the rest of the pages, as new ideas, projects, articles, reviews and tutorials as they are inspired and created/written, I will be adding to these different sections. So then, Here's a quick rundown of these sections:

General Website Sections:

  • About S.S.D. (Symbiotic Software Development)
This is the page you are reading right now. It has general directions on how to navigate the website and explained what things are and where you can find them.

  • About MystikShadows

  • Related Links
Anytime I see a website of interest, to me, to any of my projects, I will add it here. Since I have projects in many categories who knows, you might find them interesting too.

Development Projects Section:

  • Application Projects
I call Application Project an application that is a full fledged, feature rich application that can perform a given task (or set of task) in a way that is specific to a particular domain of expertise and/or programming category.

  • Tools & Utilities Projects
These are, in effect, applications. However, they tend to be smaller sized programs that perform a very specific task usually and typically destined to save the user time.

  • Engines & Libraries Projects
Engines & libraries aren't application but rather a collection of code that perform related tasks in the goal to offer functionality that can be used when making applications or games.

  • Gaming Projects
I've read so many awesome Game tutorials of all types that it got me in the mood to create some games of my own. Have a look here to see what games I'm making.

Contents Section:

  • Articles
Here you can find the many articles I've had the priviledge to write for a small but great community QuickBasic developers. As well I plan on writing more than may or may not relate to this community so be sure to check here often to not miss a single thing. If you have a subject that you'd like me to write an article about, do let me know so I can get started as soon as I can.

  • Reviews
So far I've reviewed games and applications and you can find them here (as I can format and publish them). Also I will be taking a feature product and evaluating it so that you can get a good idea of if it can be of use or interesting to you. There will eventually be many categories in this section as I plan to evaluate all types of programs and games. I accept suggestions for software to be reviewed so by all means let me know.

  • Tutorials
I've written, so far, alot of tutorials on different aspect of software development, database development and the likes. The more serious side of software development if you will. I have more subjects I'd like to teach as well as many other programming languages. So stick around to see what else I'll be writing about. You can always email me if you have a subject you'd like to learn about.

Contents Section:

  • Feedback Form
Well this is how you can get in touch with me about anything regarding this website. Such as telling me you like it or not and why, suggestions for articles, reviews, tutorials and even programming projects and send me websites you think I might want to add in my related links section.

  • Discussion Forums
There are plenty of forums out there so I don't think I need to explain what this is. Aside the standard forum items you'd expect to find, I will also include specific forum categories for my programming projects to keep you updated on how things are going for these specific projects. There will be sections to give suggestions for the given projects as well as other standard project related forum topics.
 In Conclusion:

Symbiotic Software Development is an entity, an initiative effort so to speak and therefore is not a company. But it doesn't mean the name has no meaning. To me, symbiotic is defined as the integration of the biological and technologie and as such my projects have a purpose, to give it's users a better grasp on their respective features and functionality. So when you look at the projects, you might they tend to present a different way of doing things which I hope is also a good way of doing things. This goes for any programming project category.

I hope you enjoy your visit to my website. All I can say is that I really suggest you come back often, you just never know when I'll be adding something somewhere so if you want to stay up to date, the best way is to come back here often and see what's happening.
